Instructor
MaKayla Wilson
MaKayla has been dancing for as long as she can remember and began teaching dance at just 14 years old. Her primary styles are Hip Hop and Contemporary, and throughout her years as both a dancer and instructor, dance has grown to mean much more to her than movement alone. She is passionate about creating an environment where dancers can express themselves, build confidence, develop their individuality, and discover their own personal style.
As an instructor, MaKayla brings energy, personality, musicality, and creativity into every class. She enjoys challenging her dancers while maintaining a positive and encouraging atmosphere where students feel comfortable trying new things and stepping outside of their comfort zones. She believes that every dancer has something unique to bring to the floor and loves helping her students discover the qualities that make them stand out.
For MaKayla, teaching dance is about more than learning choreography and developing technique. She strives to help her students grow in confidence, creativity, performance quality, and self-expression while encouraging them to enjoy the process along the way.
MaKayla says “My goal is simple: I want you to leave my class feeling more confident than when you walked in, proud of yourself, and excited to dance again. Whether you’re just starting out or have been dancing for years, there’s always room to grow and we’re going to have a good time doing it!”
